Breaking News in Prepaid VoIP Soft Switches…
PRESS RELEASE
ABERDEEN, NJ - USA, AUGUST 31, 2002 - Parwan Electronics Corporation,
a pioneer of the telecom software industry, announced the release
of its CardSaver software package that enables service providers
to cost effectively provide and manage prepaid calling services.
The software runs on Microsoft Windows PC’s, uses a centralized
Microsoft SQL database, and supports the Cisco or Quintum Multi-path
VoIP gateways. The software plays voice prompts and offers real-time
authentication, authorization, and accounting via the RADIUS protocol.
The system administration software is fully web enabled and can
be activated from any web browser.
Most of the international and specialized route carriers prefer
to receive their calling traffic over the IP networks because it
does not tie up their precious digital switch access ports. The
connection over the IP networks allows the carriers to receive traffic
from the profitable enterprise and retails customers with low volume,
but high margins. One can service an area that may need 4 or 8 analog
lines into an area that uses multiple digital trunks with great
ease and with no additional lines to be run. And with PEC’s
software, one could create a centralized site to be used for authentication
and user prompts with virtually limitless control over the system.
The experienced PEC staff can have deployment and installation completed
in a matter of minutes.
The IVR (Interactive Voice Response) module of CardSaver is fully
software supported. There is no need to purchase expensive hardware
for the IVR feature. The software also has the voice mail module
that utilizes the DSP’s of the VoIP gateways.
CardSaver is a truly complete turnkey software switch, offering
all the necessary features demanded by today’s carriers. The
CardSaver software supports multiple rate tables, on-the-fly billing
plan creation, and allows a user to monitor his up to the minute
accounting information over the Internet. The software has the recharge
feature that allows a user of the service to recharge his prepaid
calling card and pay by his credit card.
